Fermata Cafe needs to go through an additional permitting process and will be closed until that is complete. We have decided to use this opportunity to make some desired upgrades to the farm as well.
Fermata is a direct result of our desire to be a blessing to our community. We knew it was going to be awesome, but we had NO IDEA it would be such an overnight success. So, we are actually grateful for the chance to get a few more things in order - though we will miss you while we’re closed!
We were originally told we did not need these particular permits because of our non-profit status. However, now that we know, we are committed to working with the county department to make sure everything is done right so that our Cafe can start up again smoothly.
We are very grateful to the City of Thousand Oaks for working with us these past several months. We are also thankful to animal control for approving all our animal care protocols and shelters.
During this time we are committed to continuing to pay our staff. Being a non-profit this is going to be a challenge, so if you feel led to donate we would be grateful. Click the button at the bottom of this page!
Fermata is an oasis. A place of peace where people can pause and rest in solitude or gather in community. It’s a place to “be” and not to “do.” A place to find freedom in focus as you intentionally step away from the noise and rush of life.

The Café
Take a moment to pause and stay as long as you’d like. Fermata Cafe has top quality coffee, tea, superfood drinks and baked goods that can be enjoyed under our incredible ancient rustic oaks. There’s a coffee shop on every corner but Fermata is unique in both quality and atmosphere!

The Farm
This small farm and garden run by Limitless Church has a vegetable garden, orchard and perennial food forest. We use regenerative soil gardening practices with a no-till method. We also have adorable fuzzy bunnies, chinchillas and guineapigs that kids can come pet and cuddle. Coming soon… we will have a mini highland cow and an alpaca. We also have lovely hens and a rooster named Moses.
Family-Friendly
Fermata is a great spot for the whole family. We have a natural playground throughout and several animals for kids to observe, feed or play with. Parents can sit under the Oaks, at the bar-top, under one of the gazebos or in a rocking chair by the fire. Enjoy some goodies from Fermata Cafe while you watch your kids play, catch up with friends or sit peacefully in a little slice of heaven.
Farmers & Makers Markets
This will be an opportunity to not only provide a place for local farmers and small businesses to sell their products but will also be an invitation to our community to interact and enjoy each others company!
